George and Jo Rockwood Home
This Tudor brick home “High Point”, was built in 1931 by the Driftmier family. It snuggles to the Guemes channel revealing the wonderful view. As you enter the foyer, notice the beautiful oak flooring. Jo personally, reset and puttied each nail before the floor could be refinished. Note that the telephone has its own special place in the center of the house. A right turn takes you to the heart of the home. Jo was very careful to choose colors and materials to restore the kitchen. The black and white floor tiles complement the period of the home. Blue walls set off the white cabinetry and a rolling island adds extra work space when needed. Follow the flow into the dining room. The furniture from George’s east coast heritage fit the home to perfection, while the blue walls echo the water view and art work. French doors lead to the patio and summer living space. Enter the living room where the fireplace centers your attention and the sofas invite you to linger. Cove molding highlights the office. There are three spacious bedrooms upstairs, with unusual tile decorating the bathroom.
