George and Jo Rockwood, Owners

”Evalena” is a Robert Perry design and built in 1995 by Steven Brouwer of Hunter Bay Wood Working on Lopez Island. She is 30’ 6” length on deck and 34’ overall from bow pulpit to the dinghy mounted on the recently-added swim step. Although the hull is wood she is covered by a veneer of fiberglass. She is powered by a single turbo-charged diesel engine and can reach 22 knots although runs more efficiently at 14-15. Interestingly, Robert Perry is better known for his many sailboat designs and has done very few power boats.
