This stately brick waterfront home on the east side of Cap Sante was built in 1929. The owners have extensively remodeled, but many original features remain. In the living room, the chiseled travertine flooring adds a sense of casual elegance. The new wall of windows brings in natural light and water views. A bar was added for ease of entertaining and additional seating. Notice the original French doorway leading into the dining room. The buffet cabinets with granite top are a new addition, while the windows are original. The many animal sculptures and prints throughout the home are an expression of care. The kitchen is a chef’s dream, while the large center island invites participation. Notice the personalized Sticks bar-height table. The staircase is original, showcasing a walrus tusk at the landing. The master bedroom has original flooring and chandelier. Linger at the never-want-to-leave spa. Above the stairs, the owner-designed chandelier is visible through the original den window, and expresses their connection to the sea.
